Community Guidelines

The spirit of the jungle.

Last updated: June 3, 2026

Be kind

Planthead is a place for encouragement, curiosity, and shared growth — both botanical and personal. Treat others the way you'd treat a fragile seedling: with patience and care.

No hate speech

We don't tolerate harassment, discrimination, threats, or content that attacks people based on who they are. This includes slurs, dehumanising language, and targeted hostility.

Protect mental health

Don't post content that promotes self-harm, eating disorders, or extreme distress without appropriate context and support resources. If you're struggling, reach out — we're a community, not a replacement for professional help.

No spam or scams

Don't use Planthead to advertise unrelated products, run pyramid schemes, phish for data, or flood the community with repetitive or low-quality content.

Respect others' content

The plants, photos, and words people share belong to them. Don't repost or reuse someone's content without permission, and don't claim credit for work that isn't yours.

Keep it plant-friendly

Stay roughly on topic. Planthead is about houseplants, gardens, propagation experiments, and the joy (and heartbreak) of keeping things alive. Off-topic rants or unrelated self-promotion may be removed.

Report problems

If you see something that breaks these guidelines, report it. We review every report and take action when needed. Reporting helps us keep the community safe.

Moderation

We may remove content, suspend accounts, or ban users who repeatedly violate these guidelines. We try to be fair and transparent, but our decisions are final.

The mission

Planthead exists because we believe caring for plants makes people kinder, more patient, and more connected to the world around them. Let's keep that energy alive.
